Lighthouse Church Monaragala · PRIVATE CHURCH MINISTRY

Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: 26 October 2026

These terms govern use of Lighthouse Church Monaragala’s public information pages and private Sunday School management workspace.

Service: https://ssms.jerp.site
Application: Gather — Sunday School Management System

1. The service and its operator

Lighthouse Church Monaragala operates Gather — Sunday School Management System at https://ssms.jerp.site for private, non-commercial church ministry administration. The system supports student and guardian registration, attendance, absence-note review, event programs, practice records, reports, and backups. It is not an open public membership service, marketplace, or commercial software subscription.

By using the authorized workspace, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the workspace and contact the ministry administrator about any records relating to you or your child.

2. Authorized accounts

Public information and these policies can be read without signing in. Management tools require an approved Google account and the permissions assigned by the church. Google authentication alone does not grant access to student information. The church may approve, restrict, change, suspend, or disable access according to ministry responsibilities, security, or safeguarding needs.

Sign-in is for authorized team members, not children seeking to use the system themselves. Authorized youth volunteers must follow the church’s supervision and safeguarding arrangements. Do not share accounts or credentials, impersonate another person, or use someone else’s session. Sign out on shared devices and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

3. Responsible use and confidentiality

Use the service only for legitimate church and Sunday School duties within your assigned role. Do not bypass permissions, probe or disrupt systems, upload malicious content, publish children’s information without authority, scrape records, or use data for advertising, sale, harassment, discrimination, or unrelated personal purposes.

You must have authority to enter, view, or export personal information and obtain any necessary parent/guardian authorization. Keep entries accurate, relevant, and limited to what is needed. Do not put passwords or access tokens in notes or registration fields. Safeguard downloaded reports and printed copies, share them only with authorized recipients, and follow the church’s instructions for retention and disposal.

4. Records, approval, and corrections

Attendance absences are derived only after a Sunday session is finalized. Absence notes require review by authorized roles; submitting or approving a note does not itself change attendance. Practice records are separate from Sunday attendance. Users should review records before finalization or use the authorized correction process.

Records and changes may be audited. Archiving removes an item from active use without permanently deleting its history or backups. Contact the administrator for corrections, access concerns, or deletion requests; do not edit the underlying spreadsheet outside authorized maintenance procedures.

5. Google access and other providers

Ordinary sign-in uses Google identity/profile/email permissions. Server-side Google Sheets access supports ministry records. The designated backup owner may separately grant broader Google Drive access for configured backups, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Do not authorize backup access unless you are the designated owner and understand the requested permissions.

The service depends on Google and hosting infrastructure, including Vercel. Their terms apply to their respective services. External Bible and YouTube links are provided for ministry use; the church does not control those sites or guarantee their availability or content. Only submit links and content you are authorized to use.

6. Content and use rights

You retain any rights you hold in material you submit and authorize the church to store, process, display to permitted users, export, and back it up as necessary to operate the ministry service. This authorization does not permit sale or unrelated use of personal data. Scripture quotations identified as World English Bible are public-domain text; third-party names, trademarks, links, and materials retain their respective rights.

7. Availability and responsibility

The service is provided for church administration without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, error-free records, or recovery of every change. Maintenance, provider outages, account permissions, quotas, or other technical issues may affect access and backups. The ministry team should verify important reports and maintain appropriate operational and safeguarding procedures.

The service is not an emergency-reporting channel or a replacement for direct pastoral communication or safeguarding action. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the church does not promise commercial service levels or accept responsibility for losses caused by unauthorized use, provider outages, or inaccurate entries beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes any responsibility or right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

8. Ending access and changes

You may stop using the service and request account disablement. The church may limit or end access where necessary for ministry operations, safety, security, or misuse. Ending account access or revoking Google authorization does not automatically erase student records, audit history, or backups; retention and requests are addressed in the Privacy Policy.

We may update features and these terms. The current version and effective date will remain publicly available here, and material changes will be communicated as appropriate. Applicable mandatory law continues to govern your rights. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve questions or concerns fairly.

9. Contact

For privacy requests, account support, corrections, or concerns about these terms, contact Lighthouse Church Monaragala at monaragalalhc@gmail.com. Pastoral contact: prabulhc@gmail.com.

Parents and guardians can contact us even if they do not have an account. Describe the request and your relationship to the record; do not email passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary information about a child. We may verify your identity and authority before disclosing or changing records.
